Author Guidelines for Submission and Publication
We invite original research submissions which may include empirical studies, theoretical research, case studies, review articles, and conceptual papers relevant to any of the symposium themes. The symposium will give equal importance to papers from both developed and developing economies. We particularly encourage papers that address a mix of quantitative and qualitative research approaches, as well as the translation of research into practice.
The partner journal for the symposium is Sustainable Transport and Livability (TSTL) published by Taylor & Francis (T&F). The review system and process of symposium are fully integrated with the review system of TSTL hosted by T&F. This will also ensure less hassle for authors and seamless publication experience. Submissions should adhere to the manuscript submission guidelines of this journal.
- Detailed instructions for manuscript preparation can be found here. All submissions will be processed and reviewed as per review policies and standards of TSTL, T&F.
- To access TSTL submission portal: Click here.
- Step-by-step instructions for navigating the T&F platform and submitting your manuscript is available here.
Please select the Sustainable Transport and Livability journal in the submission portal and under “Article Type” select “Research Article” from thedrop-down menu. The author is then required to enter “Manuscript Title” followed by selection of “Section” from the dropdown list. Then author is required to enter the “Abstract”.
Important: the authors must select ‘Yes’ when asked “Are you submitting your paper for a specific special issue or article collection? (This is typically in response to a Call for Papers, Editor request, or direct invitation)”. Then under “Special Issue or Article Collection Name” select “WSSTL-2027” from the drop-down menu. Failing to select the correct article type and special issue will lead to paper not being considered for WSSTL – 2027.
All submitted papers will be reviewed and included for both symposium as well as TSTL special issue of “WSSTL-2027”, if accepted. By submitting your paper, the author(s) consent to the consideration of their paper for both symposium and Sustainable Transport and Livability-Special Issue (TSTL-SI).
Furthermore, in the cover letter, authors should clearly mention that the paper submission is under the Special Issue WSSTL-2027. Authors should also add the following statement to the Acknowledgement section of the paper: “Authors acknowledge the opportunity to present their paper in 2nd World Symposium on Sustainable Transport and Livability (WSSTL-2027) as well as publish it in this journal.”
All papers published in the SI will be published open access with 100% article processing charge (APC) waiver as per the partner journal agreement.
The registration for the symposium will open on 1st October 2026. Please note that at least one author of all accepted papers must register for the symposium by 15th January 2027 to ensure inclusion of their paper in the symposium program as well as publication in the TSTL-SI.
