Call for Poster Presentations

We invite you to show your work addressing sustainable transport and livability in a poster session at WSSTL 2027.

The Symposium will take place at TU Wien, located in the centre of Vienna, Austria from 30 March to 2 April 2027.

Call Topics

We particularly welcome poster presentations dealing with following intersections between sustainable transport and factors affecting liveability.

1. Sustainable Transport and Well-being

This theme will focus on promoting physical, mental, economic, and social well-being through sustainable transport.

2. Sustainable Transport and Health and Happiness

This theme will focus on promoting physical, mental, economic, and social well-being through sustainable transport.

3. Sustainable Transport and Quality of Life, Equity and Social Justice

This theme will focus on creating liveable cities with improved quality of life through sustainable transport solutions.

4. Sustainable Transport and Safety, Accessibility, Affordability and Environmental Quality:

This theme will focus on fostering safety, accessibility to mobility options as well as to facilities, amenities, services and opportunities for everyday lives and occasional needs, affordability and environmental quality through sustainable transport.

5. Sustainable Transport and Disaster Resiliency:

This theme will focus on building disaster resilience. The topics include investigating how sustainable transport can contribute towards improving disaster resiliency of urban transport systems.

6. Other aspects of Sustainable Transport related to Livability and Quality of Life:

We also welcome papers exploring additional dimensions of liveability and quality of life intersecting with sustainable transport.

Submissions

To present your research in a poster format at the WSSTL 2027 conference you must submit an abstract (maximum of 250 words) by 15 October 2026.

Note that all submissions are handled via the same interface used for conference registration. However, you can submit your poster presentation abstract without registering for the conference. Therefore, submitting an abstract does not automatically register you for WSSTL 2027.
All abstracts will go through a review process, with review results expected by 30 November 2026.
If your poster is accepted, you can register for the symposium until 15 January 2027. Please upload your poster by 15 March 2027. Changes to the poster after this date will not be possible. The organising committee will handle the printing of posters.

Please follow these instructions when creating your presentation:

  • Poster size: A1
  • Paper orientation: portrait
  • Data format: PDF, minimum 300 dpi
  • Colour

Please submit your abstract (maximum of 250 words) through our submission portal .

Review process

Authors will be communicated results of the review process by 30 November 2026.

15 January 2027
Symposium registration deadline

If your abstract is accepted, please register for the symposium by 15 January 2027.

15 March 2027
Poster submission deadline

Please upload your final poster by this date. Changes after this date will not be possible. The organising committee will handle the printing of posters.
